The incredibly swift Vitesse 100 features an exceptionally light carbon frame with a mere weight of 1230 grams for the medium size (about 2.7 pounds). The frame is prepared using lugged carbon frame construction that features Velo Vie Carbon Axis Formula, the intelligent standard in providing all of Velo Vie bikes with the best lightweight frame technology available today. The traditional frame features medium modulus fiber and 3K design that unite to provide the bike with the perfect blend of strength and nimbleness to ensure minimal amounts of repair and hefty amounts of ride quality and velocity.

Although there are many manufacturers jumping on the ‘full carbon frame’ bandwagon, Kinesis International [in collaboration with Kinesis UK] have taken the time to develop their own unique and distinctive looking frame, and have not simply rushed another ‘carbon clone’ onto the market. The ‘KR-810’ is a full monocoque design using super stiff 3k woven carbon. A monocoque frame does not use lugs that inevitably weaken and lead to frame failure. Monocoque construction ensures maximum stability, maximum reaction to force and maximum rigidity compared to classic glued or taped carbon fibre frames. Care has been taken to tune the characteristics of the carbon lay-up to ensure stiffness, stability and response where it is required and yet enough compliance for rider comfort. The super-stiff ‘Kbox’ bottom bracket and ‘A-Frame’ seatstays are examples of this approach. The geometry is ‘semi-compact’ [slightly sloping top tube on larger sizes, more slope on the smaller sizes] with 5 sizes and the weight is 1kg [for the 47cm c/t frame without fork].
Kinesis have developed a specific 358g fork for this model the 'Tracer' with a unique ‘forward facing’ blade design and advanced profile, developed to provide absolute stability in turns and under braking.
